Welcome back, Fearless Reader! It has already been a busy year and we've only had 3 federal holidays...so far. (There may be more coming!)
Let me fill you in on what's been happening in this writer's univer
Ise. Rich and powerful individuals have been exposed as child-raping creeps...and still living their best lives. Real awards have falsely been given to the US President...and false awards have truly been given to him. South America is slowly being annexed by the US...and US citizens are being shot and killed in the streets by federally-sanctioned paramilitary 'troops'. Everyone's still looking forward to a fun, free, and fair election in nine months, though!
In the meantime, though... I hope to undergo another transplant surgery (2nd one in fifteen years) and receive another Guide Dog (2nd one in eight years).
Even more in the meantime, though... the four separate files for my book of short stories, Holes in the Somewhere, have been completed and uploaded to the printing company. I am awaiting my 'proof copy' as we speak! Well, I don't know if you're speaking while reading this. I'm actually not speaking while typing this (even if my lips do move from time to time).
This world is a crazy and dangerous place. It helps no one and protects no one to shield our eyes, look away, and search for a nice, sandy hole to hide our heads. We have to face it in order to change it. Human sanity can be fragile, though. Sometimes a person needs a day, or even ten minutes, to duck into a story and escape. On April 1st, that book will be available for those persons. Until then... survive!
