Come right in, Fearless Reader! There's room for all in my world. Maybe because so many inhabitants of it keep getting killed off. Regardless, I'm glad you're here! As you wander, you may find that the largest city - or at least, the one where the most interesting things happen- is Wren Lake. It is a fictional town in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, here in the state of Washington. As we get to know each other, I will take you to Wren Lake many times. I sincerely hope you like it there.

Not everything I tell you happens in Wren Lake, but it does tend to pop up here and there. Blind people and Guide Dogs tend to feature in my stories, as well. In real life, visually impaired people only make up about 3% of the population. In my writing, the percentage may be quite a bit higher. That's okay. They're usually pretty cool people. I urge you to get to know one. Guide Dogs play a pretty important role in my life, so I like to shine a light on them in my writing... even if it is only the light of a stray moonbeam on a dark and stormy night. I will not always write about service dogs leading blind folks in a small town in the Pacific NW, I assure you. But don't be surprised if you encounter one - or many - in my first book of short stories. Hey! What a great time for a plug! Holes In The Somewhere is currently in production, and will be available early in 2026.
