April Fools'!

I have devastating news. You'll want to sit for this. I'll wait... Due to the government shutdown, publication of Holes in the Somewhere has been delayed. Okay, it wasn't because of the shutdown; I just like blaming Congress for stuff. Actually, the delay is because of holidays, and a little because of my lack of publishing knowledge. It turns out that the printer needs a month between the final submission of the book and the publication date. I've heard that there's a learning curve for submitting the files, too, and knowing my skill with technology, I figure I need to give myself some extra time for that. In short, the new production schedule looks a little like this: November - Receive final editor's notes. December - Send revised manuscript to interior designer. January or February - Finalize cover design and submit to printer. April 1st, 2026 - Publication Day! (New pre-order date will be announced as soon as I know) I know the date implies some kind of practical joke, here, but I assure you, the date was chosen to remind the author of the folly inherent in this endeavor, and especially in predicting a finish date. I sincerely hope that this is the last 'delay notice' for Holes in the Somewhere, and that you find amazing stories to read in the meantime! If I may, the last book I read that impressed me (that isn't already a classic) is a fun, clever, and thematic start of a series by Timothy Robare, called Tails of Battle. You might want to check it out. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/208522395-tails-of-battle
